Years ago, any street corner you turned you could find a bus bench, billboard or newspaper article advertising a Real Estate Agent attracting you to use that Agent for all of your buying and selling needs. However, in recent years we haven’t seen much of that kind of promotion from Agents and Brokers. Although now we have Facebook Sponsored ad’s and Instagram, you definitely need to have a high following and produce captivating content to attract real clientele. Not to mention it takes time and is almost a full time job to promote yourself via Social Media
In this post I will touch a little on just a few reasons as to why having your own website is critical to successfully marketing yourself and your brand. The first step is to create your website where your current, and prospective clients can go to learn more about you and the services you offer. Most agents make the mistake of doing only that and no more but in today’s competitive marketplace, you need to go beyond just displaying your services. You need to use your website, blog, and social media to become a valuable resource with pertinent, helpful information. Adding tools like Mortgage Calculators, Information on Loan Programs, Home Buyer Tips and access to MLS listings will increase the value of your website making your website a “one-stop-shop” for potential clients.
Personal branding in real estate is important. Set yourself apart from the competition, you do not want to be just another pretty face on a standard corporate site. Home buyers and sellers want to work with someone they can trust and feel like they know. The National Association of Realtors website states that 96% of home buyers are looking to buy their house on the internet. As a realtor, you need to understand the power of internet when it comes to generating sales and building that reputation that you need.
It’s a digital world and image is everything. A robust web presence can increase your awareness, your authority, and your leads faster than any other marketing out there.
Of course, if you would like to discuss this further in more detail please give me a holler! xoxo
